A great evening participating with many residents of Southwest Scarborough in the Birchmount Bluffs Neighbourhood Centre’s Annual General Meeting and BBQ. The Birchmount Bluffs Neighbourhood Centre (BBNC) runs fitness and wellness programs for residents ranging in age from infants to seniors.

However despite the need and popularity of these affordable and accessible activities for numerous families, like other local community centers including the West Scarborough Neighbourhood Community Centre and the Warden Woods Community Centre, the BBNC has frequently been at risk of budget cuts from City Hall over the past four years. We need to ensure our new City Council respects the value these centers have for our community.
