What could we do with $700 million more a year for Toronto’s transit? TTCRiders member Jennifer Huang says the transit users group in consultation with senior TTC staff estimates that restoring regular funding from the Ontario government for the TTC operating budget would both lower fares by 20 cents and increase the frequency of subways, buses and streetcars by 25%. “It’s in everyone’s interest to have more affordable and more frequent transit.” says Huang.

I can’t imagine a better way to begin my campaign for City Councillor in Ward 35 Scarborough Southwest. Here’s part of the team that made the night a success. I am very excited to announce that I have filed my nomination papers and I am now a registered candidate for the 2014 municipal elections in Ward 35! The campaign has officially begun.
With your help, over the coming months I hope to mount a strong campaign focusing on improving and extending the public services we residents use everyday, and building more bottom-up democratic decision-making from our communities to City Hall.
